Types Of Insect Bites & Stings We Treat

    Localised pain and swelling. Severe reaction requires ER.

    We assess and discuss antibiotic prophylaxis for Lyme disease risk.

    Most spider bites are harmless. Black widow or brown recluse bites need urgent assessment.

  • Infected insect bite

    Bite site showing signs of bacterial infection.

When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead

Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:

  • Difficulty breathing (anaphylaxis — call 911)
  • Rapid swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
  • Multiple bee stings
  • Suspected black widow or brown recluse bite with systemic symptoms

If you are unsure, go to the ER. It is always better to be safe.
