When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead
Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:

- Headache with stiff neck and fever (possible meningitis)
- Headache with confusion, weakness, or vision changes
- Facial drooping or arm weakness (possible stroke — call 911)
