Ear infections occur when bacteria or viruses infect the middle or outer ear, causing pain, pressure, and sometimes fever. They are common in children but affect adults too. At Reddy Urgent Care, we diagnose and begin treatment the same day.

Types Of Ear Infection We Treat

    Most common type. Bacterial or viral infection of the middle ear.

  • Otitis externa (swimmer’s ear)

    Infection of the outer ear canal, often from water exposure.

  • Ear infection following a cold

    Upper respiratory infections frequently trigger secondary ear infections.

  • Ear infection in children

    Very common in young children — we see all ages.

When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead

Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:

  • Sudden severe hearing loss
  • Swelling behind or around the ear
  • High fever above 103°F
  • Significant dizziness or balance loss
  • Stiff neck alongside ear pain

If you are unsure, go to the ER. It is always better to be safe.
