When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead
Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:
- Very deep wound with arterial bleeding that won’t stop
- Wound on the face with significant tissue loss
- Deep puncture to the chest, abdomen, or head
- Suspected tendon or nerve damage
