Types Of Dizziness & Vertigo We Treat
- Benign Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
Most common cause of vertigo. Inner ear crystals cause brief spinning episodes.
- Inner ear infection (labyrinthitis)
Viral infection of the inner ear causing vertigo.
- Dehydration dizziness
Low fluid volume causing light-headedness.
- Low blood pressure dizziness
Common when standing quickly (orthostatic hypotension).
When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead
Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:
- Sudden severe dizziness with difficulty speaking or walking
- Dizziness with one-sided weakness or numbness (possible stroke — call 911)
- Dizziness following a head injury
- Loss of consciousness
