If a foreign object such as glass, metal, or bone fragment is suspected inside the body or embedded in tissue, X-ray imaging can help locate it. At Reddy Urgent Care, our on-site digital X-ray allows our providers to assess and guide appropriate management the same day.

Metal fragments from workplace or accident injuries.

Glass is visible on X-ray and can be located accurately.

Assessment of object location in the oesophagus or stomach.

Small bone fragments from fractures embedded in soft tissue.
When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead
Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:
- Swallowed object causing difficulty breathing or swallowing (go to ER)
- Object impaled in the eye or head (go to ER)
- Foreign object in the chest or abdomen following stab wound (go to ER)
If you are unsure, go to the ER. It is always better to be safe.
