Find Nearst LocationOverview
Arm slings and crutches are mobility aids used to support and protect injured limbs during recovery. At Reddy Urgent Care, we fit arm slings for shoulder, clavicle, and upper arm injuries, and provide crutches for lower limb injuries where weight-bearing needs to be reduced. Fitting is done the same visit — following clinical assessment and X-ray where needed — so you leave properly supported.

- Elbow or forearm injury needing immobilisation

Types Of Arm Slings & Crutches We Treat
- Standard arm sling
Supports the forearm and elbow — used for clavicle fractures, shoulder injuries, and upper arm injuries.
- Figure-of-eight sling
Used for clavicle fractures to hold the shoulders back and support correct healing alignment.
- Shoulder immobiliser
Keeps the shoulder and upper arm close to the body — used for more significant shoulder injuries or post-dislocation support.
- Axillary (underarm) crutches
Standard crutches fitted to the patient's height — used for ankle, foot, knee, or lower leg injuries.
- Forearm (elbow) crutches
Alternative to axillary crutches for patients requiring longer-term or more stable mobility support.
When to Go to the Emergency Room Instead
Go to the nearest emergency room or call 911 if you or someone with you has:
- Open fracture (bone through skin) — go to ER immediately
- Loss of circulation or sensation below the injury — go to ER
- Severe deformity suggesting complex fracture or dislocation — go to ER if significant
If you are unsure, go to the ER. It is always better to be safe.
